ZYLAB once again supplied customized alumina kiln furniture to IREC, a leading energy research institute in Spain, based on the dimensions of its laboratory muffle furnaces.
Customer Requirement
Following a previous successful cooperation, IREC returned to ZYLAB for another batch of custom kiln furniture for its laboratory muffle furnaces.
The customer required two sets of alumina kiln shelves with different dimensions to match the internal furnace chambers:

Customized Alumina Kiln Furniture
For laboratory high-temperature applications, alumina kiln furniture is commonly used to support samples, crucibles, and other materials during heat treatment, calcination, and sintering.
ZYLAB manufactured the kiln furniture according to IREC’s specific requirements.
The customized solution included:
- Two different alumina shelf sizes for different muffle furnaces
- Ø18 × 15 mm alumina support feet
- Dimensions matched to the furnace chamber
- A stable support configuration for laboratory high-temperature processing
The customized design allows the shelves to make effective use of the available furnace space while providing reliable sample support.
