Project Overview
ZYLAB supplied a custom square split pressing die set to the University of Waterloo in Canada for laboratory powder sample preparation.
Designed for use with a laboratory hydraulic press, the split pressing die set allows the mold to be disassembled after pressing, making it easier to remove the formed sample while reducing the risk of damage during demolding.
The customized mold was designed for a sample size of 3 × 10 mm and delivered to Canada by air freight under DAP terms.
Customized Solution: Split Pressing Die for Easy Sample Removal
Unlike conventional one-piece pressing dies, a split pressing die set can be separated after compaction, providing more convenient access to the pressed specimen.
For this project, ZYLAB supplied a square split pressing die set tailored to the customer’s sample dimensions and laboratory requirements.
