ZYLAB Manual Top Discharge Filter Centrifuge
Overview
The ZYLAB Top Discharge Centrifuge is a fully enclosed, manually loaded and top-discharged filter centrifuge designed in accordance with GMP requirements and environmental protection standards. It is suitable for a wide range of solid-liquid separation applications and is particularly effective for difficult-to-separate suspensions with high temperature, high viscosity, fine particles, or fibrous materials.
With a minimum separable particle size of approximately 1 μm, this filter centrifuge provides efficient solid-liquid separation while maintaining good product quality. Depending on the process requirements, the centrifuge can perform filtration, cake washing, displacement washing, dewatering, and final drying before manual or mechanical discharge.
The fully enclosed design, optional explosion-proof configuration, CIP/online cleaning system, and various material options make the ZYLAB Top Discharge Centrifuge suitable for applications requiring high cleanliness, corrosion resistance, and safe operation.

Key Features
1. Hygienic and GMP-Oriented Design
The centrifuge features a rational structural design that minimizes dead zones and areas where material can accumulate. Internal transitions are smoothly designed, and relevant surfaces can be polished to meet cleanliness requirements.
The external structural components, fasteners, and centrifuge basket can be manufactured from stainless steel. The hinged cover allows convenient access to the space between the housing and centrifuge basket for thorough cleaning.
2. Heavy-Duty Welded Construction
The machine base and housing feature an integrated welded structure, providing high mechanical strength and stable operation during high-speed centrifugal separation.
3. Compact Flat-Base Design
The flat-base structure lowers the machine’s center of gravity and reduces installation space requirements. The flat base can also serve as a convenient operating platform, improving accessibility during operation and maintenance.
4. Hydraulic Damping Vibration Isolation
A liquid damping vibration isolation system effectively reduces vibration during centrifuge operation and simplifies routine maintenance.
5. Optional Online Cleaning System
The hinged cover can be equipped with a feed pipe, washing pipe, sight glass, and lighting port. An optional GMP online cleaning system can clean difficult-to-access internal areas.

The centrifuge features a relatively simple structure, making it easy to operate, inspect, maintain, and service.

The Top Discharge Centrifuge has a wide range of applications. It can be used for separating suspensions containing granular solids, as well as fibrous materials and other difficult-to-filter products.
8. Variable-Frequency Drive and Explosion-Proof Options
The centrifuge can be equipped with a variable-frequency drive (VFD) for smooth acceleration and adjustable centrifugal separation factors.
9. Reduced Crystal Breakage
The centrifuge is designed to provide gentle handling of crystalline products, helping reduce crystal breakage and product damage during the separation process.
Working Principle
During operation, the suspension, liquid-containing material, or items requiring dewatering are introduced into the perforated centrifuge basket lined with a suitable filter medium.
Under the action of centrifugal force, the suspension moves toward the basket wall. The solid particles are retained by the filter medium and gradually form a filter cake, while the liquid and finer particles pass through the filter medium and cake layer before being discharged through the openings in the centrifuge basket.
After the filter cake has formed, washing or displacement liquid can be introduced according to the separation process. The filter cake can then be washed and displaced before the final spinning and dewatering stage.
Once the required separation and moisture level have been achieved, the centrifuge is slowed down or stopped. The filter cake is then removed from the basket by manual or mechanical discharge.
